Since October 2010, I have been a self-employed bookkeeper, based in Poole, BH12.
Over the 12 years I have supported many businesses from the Construction Industry to Retail, from circa £10k to £1.5m turnover.

The journey started with employment as a ledger clerk covering costing, purchase and sales ledger. The journey started with employment as a ledger clerk covering costing, purchase and sales ledger. Subsequently I gained employment as a Management Accountant resulting in promotion to Financial Controller. As part of this post and a team of five, I was responsible for the company accounting, producing detailed financial management information and attending board meetings. It also entailed responsibility for and development of the IT system.
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies and studied to the final level of CIMA.

Having worked at a high level in accounting, it was apparent that there was a shortage of bookkeeping support in the market. This influenced me to trade as a bookkeeper
